Bookshare is a federally funded resource for students with learning differences. 

Talk to your Special Education Liaison or 504 coordinator if you are eligible for a login.

 

Learning Ally is a FPS district-funded resource for students with learning differences.

Media Description & Captioning

DCMP (Described and Captioned Media Program) is a US Dept of Education-funded program.

It provides equal access to communication and learning for students who have sensory disorders or hearing loss. Any teacher or family can create a free account to gain access to captioned media.

 

Adobe PDF Accessibility

Adobe Reader has accessibility features that allow any student to make PDFs more readable.

 

Google Apps for Education Assistive Tools

Google Keep is a digital graphic organizer, available to any user, that allows any student to easily create reminders, to-do lists, and "post-its" on a visual desktop within Google Apps.

 

Google Voice Typing is available to any student within Google Docs.  It will type whatever is picked up by their computer's microphone.

 

Google Slides Live Captioning is available to any user.  It will automatically caption your words over the Google Slides presentation that you give by picking up your computer's microphone

 

 

Google Read & Write is a Chrome Extension available to any user for a 1 month free trial, and to users with a reading-based disability for the entire school year.  It reads aloud any document in your Google Drive.

 

Select & Speak is a Chrome Extension available to any user.  It reads aloud any text you select from a website, in English or in another language of your choice.
